German Bride Tradition

German bride tradition is a wonderful way to celebrate the exclusive ethnicities of Europe and their practices surrounding love and marriage. Many of these norms have a particular interpretation and imagery attached to them, whether it is for success, prosperity or to preserve the terrible ghosts at bay. Some of these customs perhaps seem odd or silly to us currently but they are deeply rooted in culture and have been passed down over the years for centuries

For instance, in France after the proper festivities and the bash, it is classic to obtain outside the newlyweds’ windowpane to knock pots and pans with them – this is known as “la charivari”. This is to hope them good fortune and price them from any financial worries they may have. It is also done to advise them of the joy and excitement that their ceremony evening brought them estonian women, as well as to bring them more excellent riches in their potential together.

Another European wedding tradition is the” Krevati”. This involves friends and family members placing cash on the couple’s sleep for fertility, health and happiness. They typically leave a little more than that and if they are very rich, they may actually gift them with a residence or a tower!

Candied cashews are even a European ceremony traditions. They are given to all guests who attend a marriage and represent fate, health, believe and victory. They are usually pinned to the honeymooners garments by their attendees, much like the ceremony rings.
